I’m closing out week 18 and starting 19 so I thought I’d list what’s been going on lately.
I feel like I’m getting bigger every day. People tell me I look great (THANK YOU kind friends!), but I can’t help but feel a bit frumpy these days. I measured the largest part of my stomach last night and I’m going in at 32-3/4″ (don’t want to cheat myself out of a 1/4″ ; P). Now when I look down all I see is my tummy, I’m not sure where my toes went!
I’m still struggling with morning sickness and hoping that month 5 will bring relief. I also have been having trouble sleeping which I’m sure is not helping anything.
I’ve never had trouble with cheap earrings before, and yet suddenly every time I wear a pair that I’ve wore many times before, my ears get very irritated, to the point of me having to take them out after a few hours. I’m not sure what that’s all about.
As far as food goes, I’m loving pineapple and grape juice (not together), and trying to eat my raw veggies for snacks. I seem to have gained my appetite back, but my taste buds are still missing. Even my favorite foods just aren’t tasting as delicious as they used to be. Come back taste buds, I miss you! Me and you, and whatever food you choose, tell me the time and I’ll be there! I was however introduced to Godiva’s Milk Chocolate Strawberry Cheesecake Dessert Chocolates before Christmas and I believe they are sent straight from Heaven just for me. It is one of the very few things I actually am enjoying the taste of. If only those perfect little circles of chocolate weren’t so darn expensive, or maybe the cost is my saving grace.
I’ve been feeling Baby Kakes move daily now. Mostly on the inside, but I do get the occasional kick where my hand is resting. I imagine that he is practicing his surfing and skate boarding moves. (Jeremy likes to hear this.)
I’m hoping to start attending a yoga class in January. I’ve really enjoyed yoga in the past and I’m hoping that it will help with some of the tailbone pains I’ve been having and maybe my sleep issues too. As well as, help prepare me for the fun of labor.
(Random side note, the Christmas lights know that Christmas has past and it’s time to be put away. As I’ve been sitting here typing they have slowly been falling off our bar. Haha!)
We are counting down the days until we get to see him again, and find out if he’s a him or a her! The anticipation is almost killing me!
